One of the myths about WordPress is that it’s only for blogging. That’s very far from the truth. Over the years, WordPress has evolved from being just an “ordinary blogging platform” to becoming a full functional Content Management System (CMS) that allows you or anyone to create simple to very complex websites, thanks to the fact that it’s open source and there are thousands of developers and designers creating plugins, themes and tools that keeps making WordPress the best CMS to work with. Fun fact: many leading companies such as eBay, Forbes, CNN and The New York Times have chosen Worpdress to power their websites making it the most used Content Management System in the world! WordPress’ popularity and fame has grown due to its ease of use, constant update, numerous die-hard developers creating new plugins and themes and obviously – people like me advocating for it in almost any post I write about Web Design or Development. Take a look at this insightful and beautifully designed Info-graphic from my friends at Website Builder to learn some amazing facts about WordPress you probaly didn’t know before now.
