In one of Steve Harvey’s most recent shows, a member of the audience asked him some questions relating to her stuttering condition. She asked how she can manage or even stop her stammering to avoid men and people from terming her stutter as “cute”, so that she can find love. The video is a very emotional one as she began to cry. Steve Harvey gave her some advice on how to “cure stammering”, he made some claims such as “stammering can be 100% cured”, “He can cure her in 1 hour” and also gave her some guidelines or hacks on how to eradicate her stammering.
Being someone who stammers, there are some parts of the video in which I believe isn’t 100% correct, some of the advice he gave are way too simplified and gave her false hope. So, I decided to break down the video and speak from a stammerer’s point of view. Enjoy!
